Around here we love a good studio dog. Brooklyn-based "pot-ographer" Helen Levi's hand thrown pottery first caught our eye on Instagram with her reinvention of the traditional enamelware camp mug into a splatter glazed ceramic heirloom piece, but it was the sweet face of her dog Billy that kept us coming back for more.
More recently on Levi's pottery wheel: mugs, planters, and serving bowls thrown to seamlessly meld different clay bodies, and pieces from her Ocean collection, with bowls and plates glazed in a swirl of white and blue to create a watercolor effect.
Lucky for us, Levi seems more than willing to dole out beautiful handmade pottery along with great shots of her handsome pup, Bill.
Hunt and Gather is a shop filled with new and used home decor items that fit a vintage-modern aesthetic. In addition to beautiful products, owner Kelley Howley also provides interior design services. Perhaps the best part about the shop though, is their dog, Harper.
Harper is a three year old Beagle rescue from Michigan and she has been working in the shop since she was just 1 1/2 years old. She is primarily responsible for customer service, greeting customers, window display modeling, testing furniture, personal shopping (especially if you have just come from eating lunch), and making people smile. Her favorite spot is right up in the window, inviting people to come in a take a look.
